The Leeds European Year of Volunteering conference was held at the Leeds Royal Armouries on 7th December 2010. Over 130 people attended from Leeds voluntary organisations, the UK Governmnet, the European Commissions and voluntary organisations from our five partner cities in Europe (Brno in Czech Rebublic, Brazov in Romania, Lille in France and Dortmund and Siegen in Germany). Guest speakers included Tom Leftwich from the Government's Cabinet Office, talking about the "Big Sociey", Antonia Mochan from the European Commission, Mike Locke from Volunteering England, Cllr Lucinda Yeadon from Leeds City Council, Vaclav Holan from Brno in the Czech Republic and Sally Anne Greenfield from leeds Community Foundation
