Pit Stop was established as a private company, limited by guarantee, in March 2004 and achieved charity status in May 2008. We operate on a not-for-profit basis with any surpluses being invested back into the Company. Our roots are in the community and that will remain the case.

We exist to provide exciting, alternative learning opportunities for young people aged 7 to 25 in Calderdale, Bradford, Kirklees and surrounding areas which will enable them to become active citizens in the community. To this end, we deliver services through a variety of statutory and public organisations such as West Yorkshire Police, the LSC, schools and Nokia. We have long established partnerships with youth and community organisations such as the Youth Offending team, local authorities, community and voluntary organisations.

Pitstop is involved with the V project - find out all about it!

We offer our services to all young people no matter what their abilities and backgrounds. Many come from socially deprived environments as well as some who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities and may have very low self esteem because of their circumstances.

The extent of the activities undertaken, the numbers of young people involved and the accreditations they have achieved are astounding when taking into consideration how Pit Stop was originally founded.
