Volunteering
As we are a volunteer collective, we always need new people to get involved. Don't worry if you think you are lacking in skills, the collective is a fantastic place to learn existing skills and develop new ones!
By volunteering with us you'll get lots of valuable experience such as liaising with clients, working as a team, as well as picking up new ideas and design skills, and getting loads of hands on using the latest software including Photoshop, Dreamweaver and QuarkXpress. You might even enjoy it and make new friends.
Design Collective Meetings
Members of the collective attend a weekly meeting where they report how their current work is going, allocate new projects to individual volunteers, and bring up any problems.
These meetings take place on Thursdays at 1 p.m. at Oblong and usually last about an hour or less.
Volunteers can also get more involved in other parts of Oblong like Communications.
You also don't worry about being out of pocket as Oblong can pay your lunch and travel expenses in return for a day's work. We have meetings every Tuesday at 1pm for all who wish to join or find out more.
