Websites- quick guide

This is a brief guide to creating a web site with us; please read our main guidelines as well.

***Important you need to have written and prepared all of your content for your web site before we'll start designing it. ***

Planning your web site

Have a look at other people's web sites to work out the sort of thing to put on your web site.

Here's a web site we did for a client.

When choosing staff members to do your web work it's best to choose someone who's good at writing.

Also they need to have good basic computer skills. If they are the kind of person who struggles with computers they will find updating the web site difficult.

(Our software for updating web sites is easy to use for competent computer users).

Content

You have to provide all the writing and pictures. We can design a logo for you if you haven't got one.

Please provide all written content in a Word document.

Please provide images in image formats like jpegs, gifs, etc. (not in Word document form).

You may provide documents like annual reports as PDFs but in general it is best not to use this format on a web site.

Technical things you need:

We can advise you where to buy your domain. We can provide web hosting.

Please read our main web site guidelines for more detailed information.
